Steps to download and install the Facebook mobile app, and sign up.
If you have the Facebook app already, just login to your FB account.
- Go to the “Menu”
- Scroll down and click on “See More”
- Select “Avatars” and click on “Next”

- After you select a skin colour, choose a hairstyle, face shape, outfit, etc.
- After you customize your avatar, click on the “Checkmark” icon.

Facebook Avatar Launched in India
The Facebook Avatar has since been made available in the US, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, Australia, and is recently rolled out in India. Facebook has rolled out Facebook Avatar, to one of its biggest markets by user’s account, India. The avatar feature in India comes with a lot of faces, hairstyles, and outfits. These outfits include Bindis, Kurtas, Sarees, turbans, and a lungi option, which is customized for Indian users.
Facebook Avatar not Available
If you are not able to access the Facebook Avatar, it`s either;
Your Facebook app is bot updated: You need to have an updated Facebook app to be able to access this nee feature.
It`s not yet out in your country: as I said earlier, The Facebook Avatar is available to just New Zealand, Canada, US, Australia, and India. If this feature is not yet out in your country, then you can`t access it. You just have to wait till it rolled out in your country.

Facebook Avatar on Messenger
To use your Avatars on messenger,
- Tap on the Face Icon. The face icon is beside the type message section.
- When you click on the face icon, you will see Use avatars as stickers
- Click on the Sticker Icon, you can use your avatars.

Your avatars can also be used as stickers, to send your avatars as stickers, click on the option that says “share as stickers” on the top right corner of your screen. When you click on that, you will see a wide range of stickers available for you to share.
As Profile Picture or on News Feed
Using your avatar as your profile picture is a nice idea, to do this, tap on the arrow icon at the top right corner of your screen. You will see two options at the bottom of your screen, Share as profile picture and Share on news feed. Select the option you want.
Facebook Avatar as Comment
To be able to use your avatar as comments, go to the comment section and click on the Face icon. You will see a colored face icon at the bottom of your screen, click on it and you will see all your avatars. Make your choice, and use your Avatars as a comment. Click here
