Welcome to one of the most exciting parts of your Canva journey: Animations! 🎉
This is where your static designs come alive and begin to move, shake, and sparkle.
Step-by-Step illustration
1. Choose Your Design or Create a New One
Open your Canva project (poster, Instagram post, presentation, etc.)
2. Click on the Element You Want to Animate
This could be a text box, photo, shape, or icon.
3. Hit the “Animate” Button on the Top Menu
A panel will slide in showing you animation styles like:
- Fade (smoothly appears)
- Pop (bounces in)
- Rise (comes up from below)
- Tumble, Pan, Drift, and more.
TIP - Hover over each animation to preview what it does.
4. Apply a Page Animation (Optional)
Click on an empty area of the page > then hit “Animate” to apply motion to the whole page.
5. Adjust the Animation Timing (Optional)
Want to control how fast it moves? Click the tiny “Timing” or “Playback” settings to customize duration.
6. Download as Video or GIF
When you`re done:
- Export as MP4 video if it has music or voiceover.
- Export as GIF for quick social media shares or email embeds.
