Connecting Single Pole Switch with 2 Lamps
Single Pole Switch - In order to have a well-connected circuit and to avoid short circuit, you will have to learn how to connect your switch properly and to avoid any form of circuit breaker down. Also, know which and what cables you will need to connect first. Connecting a switch with two lamps can sometimes be tricky. But there are steps which you will have to follow.
To connect a Power Supply to wire a lamp with two bulb socket
You might want to control 2 (two) lights with one switch on a certain location around your home, garage. With some basic tools and following these steps, you will be able to do the wiring yourself. Whether you are adding current (light) to an existing light circuit or adding a completely new circuit. You`ll learn 2 (two) methods in this article, use the first when the power source comes in at the first light and the second when the power source comes in at the other.
Turn off the switch to the circuit at the service panel you will be working on. If there`s already a switch, remove the cover, then check all wires for current with your Voltage Tester. If there`s only one black wire connected to that switch, follow the instructions in step two. If there`s more than 1 (one) black wire connected to it follow the instruction in step three.

The power supply connects to the first light: connect/join the white wire from the power supply to the white wire coming from the light. Connect the wire colored black from the power supply to the switch. Wrap a piece of black electrical tape around each end of the white wire to indicate that it is a hot wire rather than a neutral wire. Connect your cable from the first light to the second light and then connect the black wire from the switch to the black wire from the first light and the black wire coming from the second light to the white from the power supply.
The power supply connects to the switch; connect the black wire from the power supply to the switch and the white wire from the power supply to the first light. Then, connect the black wire from the first light to the switch. Run your cable from the first light to the second light and connect black to black and white to white.
Connect all green/bare wires together and to the boxes, if they are metal. Any three screws on the switch or lights should also be connected to the bare wires. Screw insulated connection overall wire connection.
