Rema attended both his primary and secondary school education, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

Music Career
Although been born in a Christian home, Rema began to sing and rap while still in secondary school. in 2013, Rema and his friend (Alpha p) won season 2 of  Pikolo’s Dream Alive talent show with the stage name RNA at that time.
Both agreed to a record deal with Peak Entertainment and released their first single titled “Mercy”. They released the music video for Mercy which was directed by the Whyte House pictures. RNA Gaines enough but little exposure performing both live concerts and at Glo Slide in Benin and Lagos.
Rema has been into music since 2015 but in 2019 he hits the limelight after he has signed to the Jon zing Record Label, which he released later his first Ep in 2019 “Ep Rema”.
He released his second Ep titled `Bad Commando later in 2019.
One of the lists of the former US president Barrack Obama`s 2019 summer playlist was Iron Man which was Rema`s first hit song that he released around that year.
